Happy Easter my friends
I’ve been home all day studying and cooking for tomorrow.
This lovely picture is of a orange rice cake. Phyllo is my absolute favorite thing on this planet!!
“I know what you’re going to do: you’re going to come in here, and you’re going to kill me.”
The interview on this link is amazing. The son of Kenneth Chamberlain, a 68 year old retired Marine, speaks out about his father’s fatal shooting by a responding police officer after he mistakenly set off his medical emergency response necklace.

The murder of Kenneth Chamberlain by White Plains police officers has been completely underplayed by the media considering the circumstances surrounding his death. What’s so amazing is that the entire encounter was captured over audio recording by the emergency response company, and partially on video from the officer’s taser. It’s been four months since the incident and audio still hasn’t been released to the public. It’s amazing how far the White Plains police force are going to protect the officer responsable for the death of an innocent man, one of our former marines!
The officer reportedly called the 68 year old man (ill enough to require a emergency response necklace) a “fucking nigger” before murdering him in his own home.
As I follow this story I’m completely amazed by the extent the police union has gone to protect Anthony Carelli. They refused to release his name for months, until a few days ago when his identity became known through an unknown source. We’re now finding out this officer has upcoming civil rights trial for allegedly beating two Jordanian men during an arrest in 2008. The accusations are that Carelli called these men “ragheads” and used unnecessary physical force while on White Plains’ police headquarters! But what’s more ridiculous is that this man has continued to be a full-duty police officer! With two incidences of violence against civilians, one resulting in a fatality, and the union not only defends this man character as an officer, but permits him to continue as a full fledged police officer during the investigation.
Cases of unnecessary police brutality comes up almost daily in the nation news. Student protestors pepper sprayed on a California University earlier this week, and to some extent the Trayvon Martin case (even though the offender is technically a self-appointed authority not an official member of the police force.) But so many incidences of violence against weaponless civilians.
Just something to think about.
Attention vegans!
Can anyone out there give me some tips or advice??
I’m currently eating the majority of my meals vegan, but I’m planning on trying out complete veganism(?) for the next two weeks to see how I like it.
What I’m worried about is getting my full amount of nutrition. Are there any simple, basic guidelines you might suggest??
Any help is much appreciated!
